Travis Canady, formally known as Traevis, lives by and applies to his warrior like work ethic. Born and raised in a small country town in Texas, the songwriter/singer/producer has came along way since singing into a $5 headset microphone from Wal-Mart.
Raised in a christian family,(his father a preacher, and mother a Sunday school teacher) Traevis began singing in his mothers youth choir at the young age of four, and in only just a few years gained the ability to write songs and play instruments. As a young child Traevis grew up to listening and watching many artists such as; Michael Jackson, Usher, and Al Green, which would later become his biggest influences. It wasn’t until the year 2010 that Traevis decided to take his dream and vision of becoming a professional world reknown recording artist/entertainer to the next level. Unable to afford the costs of using and recording in an actual recording studio, Traevis decided to create a recording studio in his home at his own convenience. With just a $5 headset microphone, and recording studio software the inspiring singer began to attempt to create and produce his own tracks, write his own songs, and mix his own songs. In the fall of 2010 Traevis completed his first independent studio album, having all the songs written and produced by himself. The album was entitled “Genesis” representing the beginning of a dream that he had been dreaming and chasing ever since he was 4 years old. The debut effort had many influences with many different genres of music, ranging from the soulful and sensual R&B, and Hip-Hip, to the radio ready Pop. 6 months later, Traevis released yet another independent studio album his sophomore effort “In My Own Way” under his own independent record label “TEChnical Records”. The sophomore effort consisted of mainly R&B his core genre of choice, and with a little of his secondary genre Pop. On March of 2012 Traevis released a promo single “Fool With Me” from his highly anticipated third studio album “Evolution” due the fall of 2012. The single has gained a positive response from the urban audience, for his change of sound and vocals, songwriting, and production. It wasn’t until mid 2013 that Traevis decided to step into new waters. In the beginning stages of his career he started off with pure hip-hop, only to make his own features later on. His first hip-hop/rap single “Booty Talk”, changed the whole outlook on his music given him more versatility and rep. ![]()

It takes more than just talent to be successful. Some think that talent is all that you need to be a success, this is not totally true. Even though talent plays a very important part in your success but talent is not all you need. Okay, I will explain why in some cases talent is all that you need. If you have a good team and someone who is going to take you under there wing and teach you everything that you need to know and until you learn they are also going to provide the coverage that you need. So, in the end your talent will be more than just singing, dancing, drawing, writing, and so on. The Entertainment industry is also a business with licenses, permits, legal stuff, and dealing with other business professionals, executives and the list goes on and on. If you are trying to work your way up you are going to have to deal with these other aspects in some way shape or form. That is why a lot of entertainment professionals have something additional to a high school diploma, I am not saying that it is totally needed because you will always have that exception to the rule but if you don't already know these things, it must be taught to you in some way shape or form. Whether it be through workshops like the Actors Workshop Studios in San Diego, California who has excellent coaches teaching about the acting industry or and educational institution or college or university.
But honestly they are many ways to get known and to make a living at what you love and it always help to have some sort of backing in some shape or form. However, if you don't have the backing you can still do it yourself but it is not an easy road and you may find that you have those days when you want to give up and throw in the towel. I encourage you to keep going and not to give up and I encourage you to make and/or develop a plan for your own success. If you wanna be a success having a plan on how you are going to get there is a really good start. I say make sure that it is realistic but some people may tell you that the idea itself is not realistic but I tell you the truth, it is possible. I am not where I wanna be and I do have a very long way to go, but that is also why I am always trying to improve. I am constantly looking for ways to improve myself and make my work better. I believe that you should be trying to do the same thing in your art and/or craft. There will always be those who say that you cannot do it and some will always be their just to tell you to give up and do something else. I say no, do what you are passionate about because if you are anything like me you will beat yourself up over and over again, and no one will ever see your invisible pain of you giving up on yourself. However, you are your own person and the decision is yours to make and this out of everything this is what I am trying to say because when it is all done and said you are going to have to live with your decision to either keep going and to keep plugging away at it or deciding that you cannot go any farther. In conclusion of this I would like to say that I am doing a lot and I hope that I could do even more and I still have many who think that I am not doing anything or that I am total loser. So, for you I say once you have done your research and gathered all of your facts together, it would be time for you to decide on what you wanna do. And whatever you decide, make sure that you are doing it because it is what you wanna do and/or it is something that you have concluded on using your research and such so that when you decide it is on facts and heart. May the peace of God be with you. I am the Fire Hawk! Isaac (Fire Hawk) Middleton, Peace! ![]()

Hello everyone, it is that awesome time of year when we get to throw aside our normal eat habits and indulge in the act of too much eating. Yay! Food, food, and more food. Have you ever had that buddy, friend, or relative who always took at least three plates with them when they left. I am not say that, that is a bad thing, haha, because I do the same thing. I mean, you got to get the meat plate, the plate full of various meats or stacked with the same. Then, it is time for the assortment plate, you know, like, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, and potato salad. Last but definitely not last is the desert plate. This time of year they are always at least four versions of pies and cakes and so on. I mean, How would it be right for me not to show my appreciation for everyone who worked there butts off to prepare such a meal if I did not eat as much as I could then take what I could home. That is my way of saying, "Thank you!" Hahaha.
I have a lot to be thankful for. I mean the list is so long I really don't know where to start. I finished my college degree, and I am working, and I am also enjoying the field that I love to do. It is a lot of hard work but I am told and now believe that if you are doing something that you enjoy then it is not work. However, that does not mean that you are not working hard. I am glad to have such a loving family and friends and so on. The list goes on and on. I am had my share of challenges throughout the year and I am happy to say that a lot of those challenges are no more thanks to God. I want to thank our fans, our readers, and all of y'all because of you all we are able to entertain y'all. I want to keep doing this and I don't even have to be rich doing it because it is something that I enjoy doing. Don't get me wrong I am still an extremely small fish in a very big pond, hehe. As long as I can do it I will, and as long as I can thank God in any way shape and form He will get the glory from my lips. This is something most writers and entertainers may not say but I figure why not, it's true. Thank you for your support and love and please continue to share, comment, and like. We will continue to provide you with the best that we can. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am the FIRE HAWK! Peace! :) ![]()

As the weather gets colder I think that I am very blessed to be in San Diego, California. Even though I still complain about the weather. Hello everyone, how are you doing today, night, afternoon, and/or evening? It is another wonderful day. I did not get a chance to go out on Halloween like I wanted to go. I was going to bring you all along with me. I think that, that would have been really cool. I. Middleton Entertainment (I.ME) just released the latest and greatest in the Invasion Web-Series. I am sure that you will enjoy this awesome movie. I like episode two and three the most. I would like to know what do you think about the Invasion Web-Series? Do you think that we should keep going with the series or should we just stop now while we are ahead? I have some ideas for some new episodes like the Search For Red Armor.
This series of episodes is where Dense, Van and Tony is looking for their friend whom they thought had died at the hands of "The General." They find out that Red Armor has a wife and two kids, and they find out that he was apart of a Mercenary Alliance. A lot of other unseen pit falls and adventures awaits our heroes as they attempt to find their friend. I think that this follow up series will be awesome asset to the Invasion Web-Series as a whole. If we don't go with a follow up series then I think we will start another series with three episodes I am not sure what it should be though. So, you tell me what would you like for me to make a movie of next; a super hero, a superhero team, a scary movie, a drama, or something else. Whatever you decide please leave you comments and I will add it to my consideration. Doing a web-series or short story takes a lot of effort and support and the Invasion Web-Series is no different. We had a lot of help and support from a lot of people in San Diego, California. It started out as a short student film that went into an independent film. The first episode was rough to say the least but a completed work of art. The next Episode would prove to be challenging but not impossible. They were countless delays and shortages due to a series of lack of money, lack of time, and lack of communication. However, I thank God that we finally made it though and got this awesome movie done. A lot of people made this short movie/web-series possible. I am not going to try and name everyone because I might forget someone. Episode one got released to the film festivals around the country and around the world. We were an honorable mention in one. ![]()
The I.Middleton Entertainment Internet Radio (I.ME iRadio) is up and running an has been for about a year now. I am working on getting any and all music played on the station. From indie artist, to local, to main stream, I am trying to get awesome music on the I.ME iRado. I.ME iRadio we have a new addition to our play list, the song is called We Met At The Beach by, Christiana Kolosvary. Christiana is Fifteen. She is a singer, actress, athlete, model, and honor student. She has a really good voice and she has a lot of potential. With the right people she can be an awesome artist and she already exhibits the skills that any artist would need to be a success in the music industry. They are a lot of unseen, excellent artist out there that has separated them selves from the pack. I am updating the I.ME iRadio at least once a month and in such I am always looking for new music that I can add to my station. They are guidelines that I must follow that is listed the reporting authority because the station is reported to BMI, ASCAP, and such. So, that is something that an artist can get royalties from an internet based radio station. I would like to get enough local music to put on a power hour of all new, local, and independent artist. For now this is still in the works but I am working something to come into play in the on coming months or so. I am always interested in getting your feed back on the I.ME Radio and any improvements that you think that I should make and whatever else that you want to address or talk about. We are going to film the JB&I Show later on today and I am going to put the audio on the I.ME iRadio. I will add to it each week so the JB&I Show Snipets will be on the I.ME iRadio as well. I am thinking about doing a podcast, please, let me know if you wanna be apart of the JB&I Show as a podcast. I will also rebroadcast the show on the I.ME iRadio.

Here in the San Diego, California our very own San Diego Film Consortium is having there 2nd Annual Fall Film Festival The 2nd Annual Fall Film Festival will be held from November 13-15 at the Ultra Star Mission Valley Cinemas-Hazard Center. This is a state of the art, and recently renovated theater. It is believed that it will bring there film festival to a new level. I for one agree with them. I my not have a film in there this year but I am going to have a submission in there soon, and I will keep you all posted on that as well. The JB&I Show may not be in any festivals but we are still going to be doing a lot anyway. With you tuning in and viewing our website we will be able to surpass even our roughest moments called, "Hydrous" most actors and such know it as an hiatus. Oh, and I am going to mention our sponsors and honorable mentions in our snipets for the JB&I Show. Now it is time to address the headline question, Can ANYONE Make It?! Or better said can anyone make it in this business?! Or even Can Anyone Make It here in San Diego, California?! This was a questions that was asked and honestly this is a question that I ask myself on a daily basis sometimes. The answer varies depending on the context of the question. For an example the word ANYONE would suggest that if the answer is yes then it is too easy, and if the answer is no then it is too hard. If someone was to say if you studied the work, and work hard at it, and persevere through it all, and sally-forth through to the end then yes. Wow, really?! Are you aware of what you just said?! When and I going to get a chance to relax and enjoy the fruits of my labor?! The easy answer is when you are on vacation but a lot of us work through our vacation. So, we end up needing a vacation from our vacation. I personally believe that hard work pays off but I also believe that working smarter as your work harder is a better adaptation. I hope that answers your question. If you have any question please ask and I will address if my my next blog post. Have a wonderful and blessed day. Please, comment and let me know if you like our show and/or if you don't like it and what you don't like about it. Anyway, my friends this is all that I have for now I will be back in a few hours to give you any information that I may have found out. Until then, peace, love and as always many thanks to you for being so faithful and awesome. I am the FIRE HAWK!!! Peace. |
