We want your story! We are reaching out to everyday people. Their lives and stories are important and need to be told.  Hollywood has had their day and have nothing more to say. It is all old and tired. We think it’s time to hear from the people. We want to make your story into a featured film.
Behind the Mask Pictures is running a contest to find the best story. The film industry is crying out for something new. The winning story will be awarded $1000 cash and a share in the Opening and Closing credits as creator.
We believe everyone has a story. What’s yours?
As a follow up, a second contest will be run giving one amazing aspiring actor a shot at Lead Role in the film. That one person will get the big break of their dreams, a chance to break into the movies. Just send in your Youtube Video Audition. This is open to anyone from anywhere. So, if you have ever dreamed of being in the movies, this is your big opportunity. The winner will have a Lead role. It doesn’t matter if you personally match the story, the script can be rewritten to fit the winner if needed.

What is Behind the Mask Pictures about?
We have been dealing with several Hollywood producers and actors. What has struck us most is the games and difficulties people face trying to break into the industry. It’s not about talent, it’s all about your last name. Recent news  has exposed not only the corruption but the sexual abuse. We don’t want any part of that. We want to give people the opportunity to fulfill their dream without paying the degrading immoral cost. We offer an honest opportunity with no strings attached.

Why are you doing it this way instead of the traditional Hollywood way?
Even if someone spends a ton of money to get to Hollywood, New York, London, Vancouver, Toronto, Dublin, Sydney, etc., finds a J-O-B, shows up at every possible audition, pays a potentially sleazy agent, etc. they don’t stand a chance to ever break into the industry. We are bypassing this process, going directly to the people instead of them coming to us. We are providing a handful of scripts they can chose to read. They choose the script, scene and character and produce an audition on their cellphone. Then upload it to Youtube and submit the link to us. We will then choose the auditions with the most votes…people know who they want to see in the movies. We will then arrange for a callback to hear a reading from our script. That narrows down the final choice for the Lead Role.

What kind of story are you looking for?
By reaching out to the people, we will see what is the most popular genre. We are looking for all stories. Every genre. We will narrow the genre down by the number of entrants. The largest number of entrants determines the genre we will choose. And from that, we will pick the story we believe the majority of people want to see. Everyone has a story. We want to see them all. Fiction and Non-Fiction, everything.

What are you looking for in your video auditions?
We want someone who is real. Someone who can portray any character. Don’t think you can do it? Leonardo DiCaprio, Demi Moore, Hillary Swank, Nicki Minaj, Mark Wahlberg, Jim Carrey… some of the biggest names in movies were trailer park kids, lived in rough neighborhoods and were disadvantaged. They couldn’t pay for acting lessons. But clearly, there are hidden treasures out there who will never have an opportunity to show what they can do. We want to give them that opportunity. Just like AGT gives thousands of people the opportunity to break into their dream, we will do the same. The winner will be flown to the shooting location and be provided accommodation as Lead Actor and of course, their name in the credits.

Is the contest open to everyone?
This contest is open to every country, race, and gender. The only stipulation is age.  The entrant must be 18.

What are the dates?
The contest is open now at BTMPictures.com and will run through the end of January 2020.

Who will be judging these 2 contests?
The producer and Director will decide on both the story and the Lead Role. The stories are not open to the public for votes. We will decide on those ourselves. But the videos are open for public voting and will be posted on all social media to get the max exposure, then we will choose from there. So, we encourage everyone to promote their own videos as much as possible to get the most votes.

What is your goal?
I have authored 9 books, international speaking and script writer, I was Director and Lead Role in two seasons of a live TV show. After dealing with several Hollywood producers, agents and actors, I have decided to open the doors to the public. Recently I have founded Behind The Mask Pictures. It will be a different style of production company. We want to break the Hollywood mold. We don’t want to chew people up and throw them out. We want to blaze a new trail in the movie industry.  

What is your background?
I grew up surrounded by the theater. I have concentrated on writing and have 9 published books. I have had one script accepted for a Hollywood documentary and a recent script that was considered by a major actor and 2 producers. However, because of Hollywood policy, we have decided to strike out on our own by bringing something fresh to the table. Hopefully lead the charge for some change in the industry.
