A New Day A New Beginning A New Year
Welcome to the New Year 2023 is here and we are full steam. You can't turn back now. All we can do at this point is learn and move forward. I talk a lot about fitness, motivation and music. In those post I talk about learning and moving forward. We can't (to my knowledge) turn back time. But we can learn, improve and adjust, pivot and give up. We never want to give up. And I understand. I don't want you to give up but that does not mean that you will not want to give up. In some cases you should give up or at least pivot. In example a well renowned actor give up his acting career to take care of his children. Because it was one or the other and he chose his children.
However, all of us are not faced with choices like this most of the time we choose to give up because we don't want to be consistent, we don't want to work to the gym in the morning or after work. We don't want to push our selves and take that extra step to do that thing that we want to do. How can you want to chisel your body without putting the time and efforts into it?! You can't, some of us are naturally gifted and we have what they call the A+ genetics. God bless you but for me and the rest of us we have to work extremely hard. We have to be consistent, we have to be discipline, we have to be determined and we have to be willing to learn. This is not just with fitness, it is also true in acting, teaching, leadership, and any skill set. As an over simplification if you were to boil it all down to: Consistency, discipline, determination, and the willingness to learn and improve.
In Conclusion: It is going to take a lot of hard work. It's NOT going to be easy (all of the time). If you are naturally gifted at something and/or if you really enjoy doing something it's not hard. All of the hard work that we put into that thing that we want to do may not seem like hard work. However, this is not the norm all of the time. We will have lazy days, we will have days that we will want to sleep all day, and we will have days where we will want to go against everything that we have been working towards for the last how many days, weeks, and years. It happens. We need to be aware of this, in those times we are fighting against ourselves. This is why I said we have to fight against our laziness, however, everything has it's place. Be lazy on days off, be lazy on vacation (real vacations) Be lazy on your designated days. You are in control, you are the ruler of your life. The KING or the QUEEN of your life. You are allowing people, suggestions and things to have dominance in your life. You can fight against it and/or allow it. It is up to you.
