A Simple Guide to Making The Most Of Spotify
Most of us have used Spotify. It is the world's top music streaming service. Second to Deezer. However, despite this, there are tonnes of tricks and tips most people don't even know! You can use these handy little tricks to make your Spotify experience even better, and unlock Spotify's true potential! First up, I am sure you all have TONNES of playlists. Often these are listed one after other on the sidebar. This side-bar of playlist seems to go on forever. This means a lot of your playlists and favourite songs, get stuck in a sea of buried, hard to find music. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack! But you can actually organise your playlists into groups! It's actually really easy to do! In the Spotify desktop head to File, New Playlist Folder or use the shortcut Control + Shift + N to make a new group. It really is that simple! This is a great step to easily organise your cluttered sea of Spotify playlists. Within Spotify, the service actually has its own apps! 'App finder' can be found in the left-hand bar. There really are some great hidden gems in this section. All the apps are designed to help you find new music, tastes e.t.c. Apps like 'Moodagent'. Moodagent lets you pick the mood you are in, and it will then create a playlist that goes along with it. Furthermore, 'TuneWiki' will sync lyrics with the song you are listening to. (Anybody up for some karaoke?!) Do you and your friends share similar tastes in music? Are you are looking for a way to combine all your songs together, a way that allows you to all listen to the same playlist? Spotify has a cool feature in line for you! Collaborate is the name of that mysterious '...' button that none of us knows the meaning behind. Clicking this button allows you to started setting up a collaborative playlist that all members can add to or listen to. One that all members can listen to and contribute to. Have you ever accidentally deleted a great playlist? There is a solution for that too! Log into your online Spotify account and selected the 'Recover playlists' option. 'Spotify Radio' is the last handy feature we're going to talk about today. Some days you just don't know what you want to listen to, maybe you've run out of inspiration. When that happens to you, select “Radio” from the left-hand panel, hit “Create a new station” and pick an artist, album, or playlist that you like.
