​Bark-Tober? What is that? Bark-Tober is an annual Animal Resource Fair event held by the Sylmar Neighborhood Council. This event is held in October of each year. This year, 2025, the event will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, at El Cariso Community Regional Park located at 13100 Hubbard Street, Sylmar, CA 91342
The Bark-Tober committee will lead the charge of the planning and production of the SNC’s annual animal resource fair.
The regular Bark-Tober meeting is held on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm. Meetings are located at the Sylmar Neighborhood Council office, located at 13521 Hubbard Street, Sylmar, CA 91342 (unless otherwise noted on the monthly agenda)  

Sylmar Neighborhood Council 
The purpose of the Council is to participate as a body on issues concerning the Sylmar community and on issues regarding the governance of the City of Los Angeles (“City”) in a transparent, inclusive, collaborative, accountable and viable manner.  LACC covers a wide range of pop culture topics, including comic books, film, television, anime, manga, western animation, toys, and video games. The LACC convention features panels, celebrity guests, artist alleys, cosplay competitions, exclusive film screenings, gaming tournaments, and more. LACC was originally founded as Comikaze Expo in 2011 and later rebranded as Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo before becoming Stan Lee's LA Comic Con and finally L.A. Comic Con.

​Hey there, amazing people! 🌟
You know what? I've been sitting here thinking about how incredibly lucky I am to have all of you in my corner. I know I've been a bit of a ghost lately (social media is hard, right?), but every like, comment, and message means the world to me.

Speaking of which... how's everyone enjoying this holiday? I keep hearing people joke about needing a vacation from their vacation – you know, that thing where we somehow turn relaxation into another job? (Guilty as charged!) Let's make a pact: today, we're all going to actually chill. No to-do lists. No "productive" relaxation. Just pure, unfiltered downtime.
Before I go back to my coffee and definitely-not-checking-emails morning, here's a gentle reminder: life moves pretty fast.

Sometimes the best thing we can do is just pause and take it all in. Maybe even literally stop to smell some roses or some flowers, they're blooming like crazy right now! And if not finding some to smell can be fun too, haha.
