I hope that you are having an awesome day. And if you are not having a good day then I am hopeful that after reading this you will be having an awesome day. I started a new workout routine and food intake program for the purpose of losing weight and trimming up. It is a big thing for me because I love to eat, and I also enjoy sweets. I also developed a community of friends in the place that I ate at. So, I felt compelled to go there and I wanted to go because my friends were there. This became a problem when I decided to eat better and lose weight and to get back into the gym.
You see, I could not do both. I could not eat all of the junk food that I wanted to eat while chatting with my friends, and also get back into the gym. Getting back in shape was and is very important to me but I could not go to the gym and eat nothing but junk food. I tried, yes, I tried to eat junk food and hang out with friends. But one or the other began to suffer. So, I had to make some choices and of course I talked to my friends about it and they said that I should not even try to get back in shape. Because, I was at the spot in my life where I would not, and I could not change and that I should just gave up.
I did have some friends who supported me. But most of them felt hurt because I would not eat all the junk food and drink all of the alcohol that I used to eat and drink. They said, that it felt like I was separating myself from them and that it was weird to have me around them anymore. Honestly, I was trying so hard to be a part of the circle that I have known for so long. So, it was the opposite, however, I found myself talking about my achievements in the gym and I was told that they thought that I was bragging, and I really was not, bragging. I was just, so happy to be back in the gym and to see the progress that I was making in the gym. I wanted to share this awesome information with my friends. In the conversation I quickly realized that the information that I was putting out was not well received or wanted.
Some people are born with perfect genetics. They don't have to work hard in the gym to get the body that they want. They can miss a few meals and/or eat all they want that is it they got the body that they want. Or, they can eat all the junk food that they want and still maintain that perfect body. If you're like me then you must work hard, extremely hard. If I had to say something about myself and genetics, then I would say I am the opposite of the person with perfect genetics.
Some people tell me that they can't work out and be healthy because of their poor genetics. They tell me that they have or at risk for high blood pressure and high cholesterol and so on. So, I am going to tell you like I told them. You should get approval from your doctor. Get your doctor's advice and even their recommendation(s). Once you are cleared by your doctor to workout, eat healthy, whatever. Then at that moment you have no excuses. So, stop giving yourself reasons to slack off. If you did not work out for three or more days and you’re on your fifth day with no workout, your slacking. If your fast food day/Cheat day is more than just one day a week, your slacking. If you have gone three months or more and you have not evaluated your fitness program, your slacking. You need to always evaluate your fitness and health programs to see where you can improve yourself and improve the program.
I am going to close with, be the best version on yourself that you can be. Your mind set is everything. You must train your mind as well as your body. The most powerful tool that you have in your possession is your mind. Yes, each person is different and yes, it is harder for some people than other people. So, don't worry about them, focus on yourself. Do what you need to do to stay focused on your fitness and health goals.

it is always said that the grass always looks green on the other side, in other terms it always seems like someone else has what you are seeking and just can't reach, for whatever reason. But the truth is, they have trouble too and they maybe looking at you the same way. Thinking that you have that something that they need and want. The bottom line is that you must work for it. Yes, you must earn it, and if you are doing something that you enjoy doing then it is not work. Nevertheless, there still will be days that you will not want to do anything. This process or struggle if you will is something that we contend with when we make a career change, go back to school and a long while off, getting into shape and/or being healthier.
You decide the pathway that you are going to take, yes, we all seek advice and hopefully we take advice from people who are trying to help us achieve our goals with good and solid advice but not all of our decisions are going to be great and that is okay. Just, learn from the mistakes and trying to improve. Be the best version of yourself that you ca be. Comparing yourself to someone else is only going to set you back in the long run, yes, it us okay to seek out people that you admire to emulate but know that they have there own pathway and you have yours. Your friend maybe able to lift more weights than you out of the box, do the best that you can and if you don't lift the same amount of weights and/or the same body design that some other person, that is okay too.
You should always strive to be the best version of yourself that you can be in anything that you choose to do. If you have a goal and it gets hard to continue to strive forward because you don't feel like getting up in the morning?! Well, to that I say suck it up and get you butt up. You have work to do and you can't get it done asleep in your bed. You may not feel that you can achieve it when you set out to do it, and that it understandable but realize that it is not impossible. Stay focus and plug away at it. Don't lose your focus. You are always going to have distractions, and pop ups as I put it that is apart of life. Those small moments of victory will prepare you for the big moments in life. No matter what you choose to do, fitness, going back to school, starting your own business, you can do it. Just don't give up and keep going. Yes, it is going to be hard and sometimes extremely hard but it is still not impossible. You can do it.
I am going to close with, encouragement is hard to come by sometimes. It seems like everyone is waiting for you to fail so they can say that they told you that you could not make it. Even though that does have an effect on you, you still should keep going because you can do it, and the only way that you fail is if you give up. So, never give up, keep going. You can do it, and I believe in you. You must eventually believe in yourself.

How are you doing today? Are you staying motivated? Are you staying focused on your fitness goals? Yes, it is going to be hard and if you are already working out then you know it is hard to do. It is not easy saying no to your friends, telling a close friend that you don't want to hang out with them because while y'all are hanging out you all consume too much alcohol, unhealthy foods, and/or sweets. Every once and a while is not bad, right? The problem with that is you will put pressure on yourself to hang out with them, "like old times," and that will kill your workout efforts because you can't consume that amount of unhealthy foods and/or alcohol and get to the fitness level that you want. Your real friends will understand and support you in your decision. However, this fitness effort will change your life. So, that is why I say it is a life style change and you may lose some friends in the process because you are trying to get to a better fitness level. Even though this effort has nothing to do with them, they may see it as a personal attack because you are trying to better yourself and because you can't hang out as much. There is nothing wrong with preparation and setting goals for yourself. Do your research and know what exercises to do to get to the fitness level that you want to achieve.
There's a free app that you can use to aid you in your efforts in achieving your fitness goals. I think that most people know about this free app, but I am going to mention it anyway; it is My Fitness Pal. My Fitness Pal has been around for years now and it is an awesome resource to help you in your fitness endeavors. My Fitness Pal can help you by tacking your food intake and now you can even add in your exercises as well. Once you register and log in you can add in your food intake, exercises, as well as a blog. There is a community section where you can introduce yourself and talk about your goals as well. You can invite friends and join/form groups to help you.
Make fitness a part of your everyday routine, not a chore that you have to do for a short period of time. When you look at something as a chore or something that you begrudgingly do causes you to not want to do it and eventually you will stop doing it. Your state of mind is just as important as planning and sticking to it. Once you get your mind set and focused on your fitness goals it will be easier to achieve your goals. So, look at your new fitness goals as a good thing and something that you can do. Once you see yourself doing it and achieving it you will be able to achieve it. Your mind set is very important in achieving your goals. This is no different for fitness goals; having a positive and focused mind is extremely beneficial. Your weekly and daily objectives should progress toward you achieving your overall fitness goals.
Diets, in general, have a bad reputation. When most people hear diet they think about something that is a pain to do, and something that does not work, as well as something that does not last long. Not all diet promoters are good; some promoters of different diets are not totally truthful about there diets. They would say or give you, the dieter, a false idea of what there diet can do. Dieting is not easy and if you get an idea that you don't have to workout and/or in take healthy foods, this idea can cause you to lose focus and give you wrong information. But once you realize this and know that once you get your mind right and into a routine, that is going to make it easy for you to lose weight and make gains or get cuts. All of these goals uses different types of "diets" to gain the objectives of what the person wants in fitness. So, diets in themselves are a tool that the person uses to get to a specific fitness level. I choose to call it a life style change because of the changes that you are going to have to make in your life. In the attached YouTube video, I talk about different ways that you can stay motivated and keep yourself focused. It is going to take a conscious effort on your part to stay focused on your fitness goals and celebrate your small achievements.

I hope that you are well and having a good day. So, as the title says, Is Music Important & Relevant? Do we as a people of this world value music as much as it once was? I heard the stories of how music and radio was the main platform for communication and entertainment. To be in radio at that time was an awesome thing. Times changed when the television was introduced into the world of entertainment and communication. At the time there was only black and white TV's but that was more than enough to shake-up and change things in the entertainment world forever. It would never ever be the same. Now days you can't find a black and white TV on the normal market. You can special order a black and white TV or better said a color TV that has black and white capabilities. My point is that the item that changed the world forever would itself become obsolete. So, now, let us fast forward to present day. Music is still around, and sound is a very important part of film and TV today.
The music industry has changed a lot over the years and for those companies and artist who don't adapt will die off or reach a plateau that can't be over came by them sticking to the old ways or former forms of promotion and marketing. The internet has changed everything much like the TV nothing will ever be the same again, not even the film and TV industries. My answer is yes, music is still very important to this world. The platforms of promotions and marketing has changed and the ability to download upload and market music has changed and the amount of people that can be reach has change. Sound is fifty percent of film and TV and an identifying mark of all TV shows and/or films is the music and it goes father than that the main character of most movies has there own theme song in some cases it is the theme song of the show but in others they have there own sound/song.
Music is in every aspect of our lives from joy to pain and everything in between. Hearing music that we can identify with bring us joy and/or remembrance and even pain and sadness. Music will and should forever apart of our lives. So, I solute all musical artist out there. Keep making music even if it is just part time. Because you are giving someone full time enjoyment being able to express themselves through your music.
I am going to close with people in general hate change and will fight against it for whatever reason. God is good all of the time and all of the time God is good, that is something that will never change, so, in my opinion everything else can change. As long as I can adapt and over come, bring on the change. I am not saying that I won't fight against all changes but I will say I am going to fit myself into that change so that I may survive, haha. Some changes should not be done and other changes should be, so, in that we have our duties.
Our duty to analyse these different changes to make sure that it is good for the people and/or good for the long term and not just a short term thing. Most short term changes/solutions is going to do the opposite thing for the rest of the time that it is in existence. So, it is only good for the short term and if not adjusted and/or changed to a long term thing will worsen that situation and/or community. Have a wonderful and great day.

Today I am going to talk about Agents of Shield and where do you think they are going to take the show from here? I am going to give you my opinions and you tell me what you think about it.
Okay so the team made it back to their time but still in the light house. The agents are now enemy of the State and they are wanted. They seek out a possible problem only to be ambushed or set up. But it did work to get them all in a position that they had to fight their way out and Yo-yo lost her arms as in the future. It seems as if it is happening as the future Yo-yo said that it would.
Enoch replacement ended up dying trying to save the team. I wonder if Enoch's people are going to send more watchers to Earth after losing two of their watchers. I don't think that they are, but they might. I am also interested to know what that Air Force General and her daughter has in store for our heroes. We know that the daughter has some sort of fetish with Quake. This is just going to get ugly before it gets better. Here are some questions, and they stop the world ending event and does Phil Coulson really have to die to save the team? The future Yo-Yo said that every time that they tried to save Phil the whole team and the Earth died. So, does he really have to die to save the team and the Earth and if so how does the show itself goes on? Who is going to carry the team if Coulson dies? Or is the show going to end with Coulson's death? I don't think that they are going to bring Phil back into the movie version of the Marvel. What do you think? I think that they are wrapping up the show, possibly. However, if they kill off Phil Coulson and continue the show who is going to take over as team leader? Phil has always been the team leader and a really good team leader at that, in my opinion.
How is the team going to avoid the world ending events that cause the destruction of Earth? Is just allowing Phil Coulson to die going to save the planet or are there other things that needs to happen in order to make the world ending event never happen? I think that it is going to be more than Phil dying to stop the work ending event. I am not sure what else is going to happen, but it may constitute the ending of Agents of Shield all together. Remember that Shield was dismantled in the movies because of the infiltration of Hydra. So, there is no Shield in the movie verse any more. Not that it can't be reestablished, but I don't think that it is going be done no time soon. They may revisit that idea later after Infinity Wars movie series and after Captain America movie(s) as well.
I am going to close with, the possibility of seeing comic book movies was always a joke because of the lack of commitment by the cast and crew as well as the lack of special effects. Even if a producer was able to get a good cast and crew together for a super hero movie the special effects was extremely lacking. Although, they were incredible efforts in TV land to do all types of super hero shows and for the most part this actor/nerd enjoyed every moment and effort. However, we now have the special effects and cast and crew to make outstanding movies and TV shows. Even though TV shows has always been good to me and even better than most movies until recently starting in the late 90's and it has just gotten better. I know what you're thinking. You are wondering if Black Lighting is even worth watching? Well, that was my question s well. Honestly, I believe that it is because of everything that is going on in the series. Besides Jennifer still have not gotten her powers yet, haha. He is my thoughts on her and her now ex-boyfriend. Khalil is being pulled into the dark side. Unfortunately it is easy for Tobias to manipulate Khalil especially because of his injury, and Khalil depressed state. A plus for the evil team is Tobias is wealthy. I think that he is eventually going to have a run in with Thunder/Anissa or Jennifer as Lighting. I think that it would be better and more interesting.
However, him facing Black Lighting is more practical but I would like for him Khalil to face off against Black Lighting but during that fight Lighting AKA Jennifer steps in, in some way. If it is to save him or better yet save Black Lighting and saves the day. The fight between Thunder and Black Lighting was awesome and fast. I enjoyed every moment of the fight. I like the idea him allowing his daughter Thunder to know who he is. This is going to lead into a serious father and daughter talk. But the question is, is he going to allow his daughter Jennifer, Lighting to know who he is as well and if he do will she be able to keep it a secret?
When I think about it I understand how hard it is to be a super hero when the one the he is suppose to bring to justice is the same one who killed his father. Losing a loved one is hard and to compound that with with super powers and the one who is supposed to be brought to justice is the same one who killed the person whom he loved. This is a really big test for him. Doing the right thing or getting revenge. The other question is what happened to the doctor who called Black Lighting on Tabias? Is he still a live did Tabias realized that the doctor set him up? Is the doctor and his family okay? We may never know these answers but I guess in the big picture it is not important. However, I still wonder. What I believe what really changed his mind is him hearing his ex-wife in trouble.
So, there is a lot of things going on that can have many different outcomes. Learning that Peter knows Lady Eve and that he made a deal with her makes since out of a lot of his decisions. He still managed to keep his cool while talking to her all the while letting her know that he would be willing to kill to keep the Pierce family safe. I am interested to know if the Pierce family finds out about his deal with her how would they react to this information? Okay, so, that is it for now. Comment, like, share, subscribe. I am going to close with, staying motivated is hard especially when time sets in and the thrill and moment of making that decision has long since gone and all that is left is doing it. No matter whether it is fitness goals, starting your own business, going back to school and/or working on your promotion things are going to get hard at many points in your endeavor to achieve said goals. Remember that you can do it and that you may need to make some adjustments along the way. Even if you end up making a lot of adjustments to keep on track don't lose hope. How the saying go? Ah, life is going to punch you in the mouth, your why must harder than that punch. You must get back up and get back into the fight don't allow life to defeat you. You can do it. Don't ever give up. I hope that your day is going well. Today we are going to talk about Van Helsing, now, you may remember Van Helsing from the movie rendition but this is the TV show a Syfy network original. I took the day to review and catch up and also learn more about the TV rendition of the film. It is not like the movie and it did not have the same atmosphere of the movie. So, if you're expecting it to be exactly like or even similar to the movie then you will be disappointed. However, that does not mean that the series is not good. They set it in a post apostolic word infested by Vampires. It reminds me of the walking dead but with Vampires. Even though that could be beating a dead horse type of a thing I believe that they done a very good job. So, yes it is worth your time and yes it is worth watching.
"Vanessa Van Helsing is humanity's last hope, as her unique blood composition gives her the ability to turn vampires human. With this secret weapon, Vanessa becomes a prime target for the vampires. Van Helsing comes from the producers of Fargo and Hell on Wheels. Acclaimed director/playwright Neil LaBute serves as showrunner."
I personally enjoyed the series because of all of the extra stories that they added into it. It keeps you entertained and it gives some mysteries which keep you on the edge of your seat. It is a network film so I think that, that plays a part in what they can do with special effects. I don't see this Van Helsing TV series being as popular as the Walking Dead but I think that it will have its place in television history. The executive of the Syfy network get much respect from me for daring to even try something like this. However, Syfy in my opinion has been the first to pioneer movie like this and of this caliber. Being willing to cast new and up and coming actors and actresses is brave by itself and then to do a spin off series based on a movie is awesomely outstanding.
This movie has a lot of great actors, actresses and a great director. I hope that Syfy continue to do TV shows like this and continue to give new and up and coming actors and actresses a chance for success in this industry. Syfy was one of the first networks to do this and this includes new writers and directors. Van Helsing get a thumbs up from me because of its daringness and willingness to push the proverbial envelope.
I am going to close with, tv shows are a fragile thing depending heavily on the audience, ratings, and watch hours for streams. This is the same for all of the entertainment industry as far as what the audience say about the network and production shows. I like the fact that they give the new folks a chance to gain traction in this industry. They do this while maintaining there presence through the shows headliners and superstars. Yes, it is a lot of work yes it is very difficult and yes many have tried and failed in this entertainment industry but no, it is not impossible for you, for them, for us to do it. But it does take a lot of effort and a lot if time and dedication. You can do it. Don't give up. Never give up.

thank you to all of IME Blog supporters. You are awesome! Incase you don't know February 20, 2018 YouTube is requiring channels to have 4000 hours of watch time in the last year and at least 1000 subscribers. Here are some YouTube videos talking about it. Most YouTubers think that it is a good change and some others are scared because they don't quite meet the requirements. Some of the questions that are being asked is how do I gain more subscribers to may channel?! And obviously the second question is how do I get 4000 watch hours or watch time? Here are some quick pointers that should help you.
First you need to be consistent. For the next twelve to eighteen months uploading videos when you say you're going to upload them. Come up with a schedule that is right for you and upload at that time, everytime that you say that you're going to. More is better but set it to your life schedule and goals. So, this means that you can only upload once a week then keep it, set it and be consistent at it. So, that people will know when to expect you online and/or your upload.
Next you need to improve over time. If you want people to watch your videos for a longer duration upload quality work and improve over time. Always look for ways to improve your videos and your channel. This includes but is not limited to graphics and text art or word art, as well as video quality and editing.
Now let's talk about Search Engine Optimization -SEO, you're trying to give YouTube enough information that when someone search for a topic YouTube knows that your video satisfy that request. One way to do that is metadata and trying to make the data relevant to that search as much as possible. So, know what people are searching for helps a lot and then match all of your metadata to those search terms. In conjunction with that is keyword research and setting your key words so that it will rank in YouTube. Here is a link that will help you out.
The last thing that I am going to talk about today is branding and your thumb nails. You must look at yourself/channel as a business and your business need a brand and/or a face. This carries over to your YouTube Thumbnails. If you want people to know you as the face of your videos then your face needs to be included in your YouTube videos. This is the same if it was your business or YouTube logo. Your channel art and theme should reflect other associated artwork, thumbnails and videos. You want to include it in everything that is associated with what your business/YouTube channel and everything that your channel puts out and/or is involved in.
The JB&I Show is gone but the I.Middleton Entertainment - Fire Nation YouTube channel is still there, what now? A lot of thing affected the JB&I Show demise. One is its declining views and hardship of putting the show together. I am not saying that I will not bring it back at a later date but as for now the JB&I Show is gone. With the updates to the YouTube policies it kind of placed the nail in the coffin as it were. So, what now, you may ask? Well, a consolidation effort is going into place and I am going to be doing four major topics on the IME - Fire Nation YouTube channel. First the IME Blog is going to be a YouTube show and we will be talking about everything entertainment. The IME Blog is a form of the JB&I Show so don't be surprised if you start seeing the JB&I Show again soon.
So, one of the four topics will be entertainment, the next will be gaming I will be uploading gaming streams from Twitch.tv/8010az to YouTube. You can watch me live every Sunday at 10pm. The other type of videos that I am going to be uploading is fitness videos. Firehawk fitness is something that I am starting to help myself and others gain a healthier life through fitness and nutrition. In conjunction with this leads me to my last topic witch is motivation videos. All of us need some motivation sometimes, even me. So, I will be encouraging you to do that thing that you know that you can do but is afraid to do because of the possibility of failure. And I will continue to encourage you to keep going once you have made that decision to do it.
I am going to close with, everybody fails. It is the ones that get back up and continue and never give up is the ones that you read about and learn there resolve for success and are successful. I want to encourage you. You can do it. Never give up, don't ever give up. Keep plugging away and keep pushing. You can do it. I am going to be making a lot of changes to the IME website. I am going to start with the first page and then I am going to work on each and every page. My goal is to make it more pleasurable for you and promote the attitude and theme that I want my brand to be. Fitness, Gaming, and Entertainment this includes but is not limited to acting, broadcasting, hosting, promotions, working out, podcasting and so on. My goal is o provide the best quality entertainment and products possible while earning a living. I am hoping that my redesign is going to promote that and do that so I am going to be narrowing down a lot of things so that I can focus on one thing at a time. I must do the best that I can and be the best that I can be. I believe in myself. These are the things that you should be saying to yourself. You need to believe in you.
Now, let's talk about Black Panther. As you may or may not know that the Black Panther movie comes out this month everywhere on the 16th. I am looking forward to seeing it. I have high expectations for this movie and I believe that they are going to deliver. From what I have seen so far they have an outstanding concept of Wakanda and all of the different tribes. I am looking forward to seeing all of the special effects and battle scenes. I also want to see how they integrate from the Captain America Civil War movie to Black Panther. They have been talks and scenes that should effectively merge the two. The death of the king is a great subject line and segway into why everything is happening in Wakanda. We must have new gear and awesome products for me to purchase, haha. So, I say definitely check out the Black Panther when it comes out February 16, 2018.
Okay, Black Lightning is going strong and I am totally please with what I have seen so far. I think that the directors are doing a great job and casting have casted the best actors for this awesome TV Show. I like the colors that they have chosen for this show and as you may or maynot know the villians make or break the show. If you're villain is way too powerful for the hero then it is, why, have that hero go against this guy unless the hero somehow gains more power through the course of the season to defeat the overpowered super villain. The same goes for if you're villain is too weak then it still is, why, because the hero is way too strong for the villain. Unless that is apart of promotional stuff and we the audience finds out that the villain is way stronger than he/she or production lead us to believe. I think that they done an awesome job with Black Lightning in this. Give me your feedback on this show or any show that you would like me to talk about and I will review the show and talk about it in my next video.
I am going to close with, it is up to you to decide what your passion is and then go after it. Do all that you can do to support and make your passion your every day. What you chose to do for a living is your choice. You may do something until, whatever, but make sure that you stay focus on your goal(s). If you are doing something that you want to do then it is not work. Moreover, you tend to put more time into something that you enjoy doing. today I want to talk to you about fitness and entertainment. If you don't know I am a big supporter of fitness and health. I have been working on my fitness level since I was young in middle school and if I want to totally be honest since I was in city league football so that would be like ten years old maybe even younger then that, haha. My point is I seen the importance of being healthy and fit. Not everyone wants to be and/or needs to be at the same fitness level. But from what I have seen everyone like to see that person fit, in shape, and healthy. It is reflected in the movies and TV Shows, it is also reflected in the comic books and summer and spring times at the beach. So, to say that fitness is not entertaining is not true on so many levels because we get great joy seeing that fit person strut their stuff and especially if we are that fit person. The satisfaction of achieving that long journey of fitness is satisfying on so many levels it is hard to explain.
The fitness journey is a never ending journey because the person is constantly monitoring the intake of food, the output of working out and cardio. Trying to keep their body engaged and in s state of relative shock to maximise their results. I know that I do. I watch fitness videos on YouTube and I checkout Mac Trucc and Kali Muscle And CT Fletcher and I am inspired by their successes and achievements and even inspired by their struggles. Because selfishly sometimes it is good to know that they are going through some struggles as well and still maintain that go get'em attitude. My hat is off to them because they have fans that are engaged in their fitness lives and actively support them. I pray for CT Fletcher every day and I pray that he achieved his goals and get a new heart. I like watching these awesome fitness leaders because they are inspiring and showing that it can be done regardless of your back ground, no matter what your age, no matter what your ethnicity, no matter your heritage. You can do it too.
I watch Big Boy From Strength Cartel and Mike O'hearn and I realize how hard it is to do this fitness thing. It is even harder to stay fit and healthy but they are doing it. They are sharing their lives with us so that we can be entertained and inspired. I read that if you show someone that it can be done then that in itself will remove most of the automatic limiters that we placed on ourselves. These limiters comes in many forms and one major form is self doubt, but I am also include self hate and fear. Now, when you compound that with the naysayers then that is a recipe for failure. You/Me must overcome the internal battle first and foremost before we will ever have a chance achieve any of our goals. The outside distractions will not even be a factor once the internal is conquered and for all of you Christians out there, you are more than conquerors, so, conquer it.
No, it is not going to be easy and yes you may lose some friends along the way. But it is achievable. In any goal achievement you have to deal with two things that has always been a problem for all of us. What is that you may ask?! Well, I am glad that you asked, it is time and pain. Time is something that never waits and is always running no matter what you do and/or say time marches on. Once you add in pain that by itself will get most people to quit and give up. But now pain is team up with time to stop you from achieving your goals. And this dynamic duo is ruthless and merciless and continuous. So, you missed one day but it's okay because it is just one day and then something else pops up, and then something else comes up, and finally you have a chance to workout but it is cold this morning and no one like to get up and run and/or go to the in the gym in the cold. So, you don't go and now it has been two weeks and you have not worked out at all since two weeks ago or longer. Now, time starts to speak to you, "Don't go back to the gym. It is too much of a hasle."
But you are strong and you decide to go and you workout and the next day you are sore and in pain. Time and pain comes to you and says, " I don't know why you are trying so hard. Noone is going to notice all of the work that you're doing." It's been a month since your last workout and you all but given up. Flipping through some YouTube videos you see a motivation video and people saying exactly what you are feeling. You think to yourself how can they know exactly what I am going through. Wow, but the next part that you hear is even more surprising. They tell you that it is not too late that you can still achieve your fitness goals and they say that it is achievable and you can see that it is achievable because they did it. So, you head back to the gym and you're relentless and no matter what pain and time through at you, you manage to stay in the gym and stay consistent. Not even the naysayers can get you to quit. Your internal fears has turned into hope and drive. One day you take a photo of yourself and you have done it. You think to yourself not too long ago I was in pain not just physically but mentally and time never stopped once and waited for me to recover. But I was still able to achieve my fitness goals and the naysayers became your praisers and haters, and that is okay because you know now that it was you who stopped you and not them. Because you decided to not let them stop you.
I started my fitness journey and I am starting over every day and I realize how hard it is to keep going and how easy it is to give up. I also realize that no one is going to care if I fail. My YouTube channel has no viewers and my podcast ended. My show, the JB&I Show faded aways and no one mentioned a word about it to me. I ask myself why and I realized that I allowed myself to fail. As hard as it was to accept I decided to allow that pain to set in and I decide to start anew and achieve my fitness goals. How can I hate someone for doing the same thing that I am doing to myself. I got a message from YouTube saying because of the new policies and updated rules and regulations that I must now must have over a thousand subscribers and over so many hours of viewer watch hours per month. So, in a nutshell it is like receiving a pink slip in the email. I will no longer be a YouTube partner. In essence I am fired but I can reapply for partnership if I am able to meet the new minimum requirements. Of course fear steps in and I wonder how am I going to get people to watch my videos and I am I going to keep people engaged?!
It was hard talking about this because I don't know if I should even try to re-establish my YouTube channel. Is God trying to tell me something?! Or, am I just being a coward because I am looking for an excuse to give up. What if I try and give it my all and still fail? What then?! At this point I am not just talking about my YouTube channel, no, I am talking about all of my goals that I am attempting to achieve. My inspiration came from a place that I never expected, the bible. Wow, I never expected to receive motivation from the bible. Now, my journey is not over and it is never easy talking about something that is still in development because of the possibility of failure. The embarrassment of saying I failed, again, but what if I am able to achieve my goals. I won't need my YouTube channel. It would be an added bonus but not a necessity.
So, I am going to close with, you are your own worst enemy. You will talk yourself out of some of the awesome things that only you can do, only you can inspire, only you can achieve for yourself. The cliche goes, every journey begins with one step but most people are too afraid of taking that first step because of the possibility of failure. Sometimes, failing is the best thing that could ever happen to us. Celebrate your achievements no matter how small you think that it is because you never know who is watching and whom you may be inspiring. Once the celebration is over, once that moment is done, keep going and don't give up. Never give up. You can do it.
